Who am I to teach you?

I’m not a fly-by-night-written-a-few-emails-and-decided-to-teach kind of copywriter. I’ve been writing copy for 10+ years, full time as a successful and in-demand freelance copywriter for nine of those years.

I’ve worked with hundreds (and hundreds) of clients of all sizes in all kinds of industries – from software products, insurance and financial planning to holiday packages, women’s shoes and plumbing. That doesn’t even scratch the surface!

I’ve written websites, brochures, landing pages, slogans, directory listings, company and personal bios, blogs, email marketing, social media profiles, advertising, big fat ebooks and more. I’ve written pages and pages of copy and simple one-liners. I’ve written for SEO and for brand connection.

The point is that I’ve had a lot of variety come across my keyboard and I’ve learned the best copywriting techniques to get attentioncreate a connection and drive action.

I co-host the popular copywriting podcast “Hot Copy,” and I’m featured regularly in the media discussing copywriting, online marketing, productive business habits and running a business around family life.

The course definitely gave me more courage to bring more of my own personality to my copy. 

I know that copywriting is central to any kind of business success and was going to be a skill that would just keep on giving in my business. Even though I'd been doing it [writing copy] for many, many years in my own business, I just didn't feel like confident that what I was doing was actually having the impact that I needed it to.
