Copywriters are IN IT right now.
And our challenges have little to do with writing.
We’ve always been talking about the uncertainty of feast or famine. Now, in 2026, it’s feast or famine plus a budget that got cut twice before the project even started or worse, a client who excitedly tells you they’re getting ChatGPT to write all their copy now… and it’s “soooo good”.
Spoiler: It’s not.
It’s a fair question.
You’ve probably also heard the lead gen fixes you absolutely need to do:
Automate your cold outreach, scrape a list and let AI personalise a few hundred emails. (tried it)
Niche down hard or get left behind. (this old chestnut)
Or just yap into the void on every platform, all day, because apparently that’s a content strategy now.
It’s exhausting just reading it back.
It’s also mostly wrong.
I keep getting asked if copywriters are even relevant anymore. Like, I’m trying to eat some cake, Jeff. Can you hold off on the career crisis for a minute?
Meanwhile, I’m talking to copywriters every week who are booking clients in, not scrambling for them.
So what’s the deal?
In 2024, I surveyed copywriters to find out how they were really getting hired. Before this AI conversation was a dust mite on a tech-bro’s hard drive. This year felt like the moment to run it again and see what had actually changed.
I surveyed working copywriters, from total beginners to names you’d recognise, and asking: what’s your most reliable way of getting clients?
75% named a warm method. Referrals, word of mouth, repeat clients, networking.
Just 5% named cold outreach.
And in two years, an entire AI panic in between, those numbers barely moved.
It turns out the radius you actually need to work is smaller than the one you’ve been working.
I call it the Orbit Method, and on July 20 and 21 I’m teaching it live, with templates and prompts to help you take action in the session.
Here’s what the 90-minutes gets you:
The one lead-gen lane that’s actually grown since the AI panic started, and it’s not the one everyone’s chasing.
Why “just network more” is useless advice, and the three-move system that replaces it. You’ll leave able to name all three and use them the same day.
The seven-word message that reopens a cold client, because it’s almost impossible not to answer.
Which of three states your pipeline is actually in, and why two of them need a completely different fix than the advice you’ve been following.
Live, on the call: map your own orbit, find your 10 warmest contacts, and draft the actual message you’ll send this week. Not a to-do list. A drafted message.
Bring your weirdest, most specific client-getting question. I stay in Q&A until they stop coming.
And it’s all happening in…
There are TWO live sessions.
One session will suit peeps in the Northern Hemisphere. One session will suit peeps in the Southern Hemisphere.

If none of the times work for you, your free ticket gives you access to the replay for 3 days.

Hi, I’m Belinda Weaver. I’ve been a freelance copywriter since 2009 and coaching copywriters since 2014. I’m also a working copywriter, booking clients in 2026.
I’m not sharing the Orbit method because it’s a nice theory that worked once upon a time. I’m teaching it because it’s where most of my own work comes from.
Two clients alone have sent me around $23K in repeat work in the past six months. No funnel, no cold pitch, no ads. Just relationships I kept warm and then activated.
And one of those clients reached out to me after I made a few off-the-cuff suggestions on a group call. There was no pitch or agenda. I was just visible, and clear about what I do.
That’s the whole method in a nutshell, and it’s what I’ll show you how to run on purpose.
This session is for working copywriters who want more stability in their schedule.
Who want regular work without getting the ick.
GOOD NEWS! Every session is 100% free.
But free doesn’t mean low value… I’ve spent weeks (and weeks) making sure this will be jam-packed so treat it like you paid for it and you’ll get the most from the experience.
Absolutely. I’ll email you a recording within 24 hours and it will be available for three days (until the end of July 24).
But I will say this, live really is better.
The info will stick in your brain AND I’ll be right there to answer any questions you have about YOUR business and lead gen opportunities.
You’re already asking good questions! The key to getting the most out of your Q&A time with me is to make your question as specific as possible.
For example, rather than “How do I get clients?” Ask, “What’s the first message you’d send someone you haven’t spoken to in a long time?”
The refund policy? It’s FREE ya ding dong.
If I have to cancel the session because sometimes life gets lifey, I’ll email you directly and let you know a new date.
Oh! You’re at the bottom of the page!
